Since the age of 12, Luye has embraced a multitude of roles that reflect her passion for sports and her commitment to positive youth development.

Her experience includes basketball and soccer coaching, numerous positions coaching at special needs schools, head coach at a Manhattan private school, supervisor of elementary school children, refereeing and team captain in various sports, and a counsellor at summer camps. 

Also including more recently - BBNZ, Rep and College coaching, assisting with Northern Kahu WNBL team and Mens NBL team and Women’s 3x3.

Beyond coaching, her leadership capabilities have shone through as a supervisor for elementary school children, a referee in diverse sports, a team captain who led by example, and a counsellor at summer camps where she inspired young minds. These roles have not only honed her ability to connect and communicate across a wide demographic but have also allowed her to make a significant impact on the lives of many young athletes.
