From Ghana to the World Stage – INGOAL’s Isaac Tetteh Coaches at the U-17 Women’s World Cup

Here at INGOAL, we’re excited to share that our very own goalkeeping expert, Isaac Tetteh, recently represented New Zealand as the goalkeeping coach for the U-17 Women’s team at the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in the Dominican Republic!

Still on cloud nine after returning to New Zealand, the 30-year-old goalkeeper coach shared, It was an unforgettable experience that will stay with me forever. I’m incredibly grateful to the staff and players who made it so enjoyable.

This journey to the World Cup is an inspiring story of dedication and passion for the game. Starting out at Ghana’s Red Bull Soccer Academy, he made his way to New Zealand through a chance connection, where his warmth and dedication quickly won him a place in the football community. Now, after years of hard work and a commitment to youth development, he’s coaching at the highest level, showing young New Zealanders that with the right support, they too can reach the world stage.

It an incredible opportunity to be part of a FIFA World Cup, a dream that I’ve never thought will happen anytime soon. This is a special occasion and am incredible privilege to be involved and to represent New Zealand at a prestigious international event like this, the Ghanaian said when he was ask about the meaning of the experience for him.

Isaac’s success is not only a reflection of his skill but a testament to the pathway INGOAL provides for young athletes here in New Zealand. He’s living proof that with determination, top-tier coaching, and a little luck, dreams can become reality. Whether you’re a young goalkeeper just starting or looking to push your game to new heights, training with Isaac at INGOAL is a fantastic step towards that dream. Every school holidays there is various options to train with the INGOAL team at the holiday programmes across the country.

We celebrate this moment with Isaac but at the same time remind us all at INGOAL that the next generation of great goalkeepers not could be, but certainly is in our sessions right now, gearing up to take on the world.

It always an honor to see these goalkeepers embracing goalkeeping and kicking on to the next level being an elite level or at a local level. All I want is to create goalkeepers who are better versions of themselves when they first get in contact with my coaching, he said what thrives him working with all the young keepers across the country.

My goal is to inspire the next generation both Females and Males to fall in love with goalkeeping and to create an environment where my goalkeeper enjoy the craft of being a goalkeeper.
